Most On shoes run true to size, but fit can vary slightly by model. For running, staying true to size is the general recommendation; for wide casual wear, trying a half size up is sometimes suggested.
On Cloud shoes typically run a bit more narrow through the midfoot and toe box. For people with wide feet and flat feet, the shoe will feel snug through the forefoot and midfoot. Some women with wider feet find success in men's styles, as they are naturally a wider profile. A few styles to try for women with wider feet are the Cloud Runner or the Cloud Monster.
The Cloud 6 was updated with a wider opening for a broader fit than previous models, though it remains narrower than other On styles and does not come in wide sizing.
The heel cup fits snugly around the ankle, with customers reporting no issues with blisters or hot spots even right out of the box.
The Cloud 6's midsole foam proved to be slightly firmer, but the ride doesn't feel firm thanks to the compressible CloudTec pods that create a forgiving experience. One notable comment is that due to the waterproof lining on the Cloud 6 Waterproof style, they are stiffer and less forgiving for wider feet. (try going up a 1/2 size, and it usually does the trick)
On's stability options are the Cloudrunner 3 and Cloud Nova 3. For overpronators who love the Cloudmonster's cushion, pairing it with custom orthotics can add medial correction.
Some On Cloud styles run half a size small; sizing up half a size is often the right call. Some styles have a slightly wider toe box, while others run more narrow. If your feet are wide, almost always go up a half size.

Socks do take up room so If you need extra width room, sizing up half a size can help — but over-compensating risks heel slippage.

ON offers a one-year warranty covering manufacturing defects, but normal outsole wear, midsole compression, cushion breakdown from heavy use, and cosmetic scuffs are not covered. Shoes worn out after 6–12 months of daily walking are considered normal use.
The exposed CloudTec pods often raise questions about water and debris entry into a shoe. But the outsole is sealed, and water doesn't typically enter that way. Water can enter through the fabric upper, and drying the shoe (no heat) is needed to maintain its integrity. Some On Cloud shoes are waterproof with a 3M membrane keeping water out of the inside of the shoe and protecting the foot from water entry.
