Red Wing
Red Wing Shoes was found by Charles H. Beckman in 1905. The company is based in Red Wing, Minnesota – and there it found its inspiration for a name. They were an innovative company in the making of work boots and shoes. By the time World War I they were the number one producers of boots for soldiers, and a few decades later assumed the same role in World War II. That is their claim to fame – and though they are mainly known for their war and heavy work boots, in the recent years they have been making athletic-styled work shoes and footwear designed for specific job applications.  Red Wing makes shoes ranging in many styles like oxford, chukka, hiker, loggers and work boots. In the century that Red Wing has been around, they have maintained the same standards they had when they served America in the wars, and adapted to the times proving us with new modern styles.  |
