Morenatom

Morenatom is a Brazilian brand founded in 2003 by Nelson, Cristina, and Marcelo Germann. For those of you who know a bit of Portuguese, you might already be aware of the meaning behind the brand's name. For those who need a little brushing up one their foreign languages, we can give you a little refresher course. The first half of the name is the word "morena," which is often used to describe a Brazilian girl with tanned skin, while "tom" is meant to call to mind the way the morena girl moves when dancing the samba. Although the brand was created with the trendsetting fashionista in mind, the comfy materials suggest that those of us that enjoy wearing a casual pair of shoes once in a while weren't forgotten during the process of product production.
