J.LITVACK is short for Jay Steven Litvack,(JSL) A shoe guy who literally grew up in shoe factories, first in lower Manhattan and then Brooklyn. His father emigrated from Russia as a 5-year-old orphan and created the eponymous ERICA (madeinAmerica) line. J.LITVACK is the culmination of his experiences traveling the world developing hot but elegant, cutting edge footwear. This namesake collection is designed with European influences and produced globally, “with a focus on artisan craftsmanship and fine leathers. Casual, sporty, cool contemporary footwear” is more about “attitude and the details” than “covering all classifications.” J.LITVACK gets inspiration from Jackie and Samantha, his two daughters, whose first initials coincidentally are the same as his. J.LITVACK Footwear offers an artisanal sensibility, keen attention to fit, authentic materials and modern aesthetics.
