Ilse Jacobsen shoes was started by Ilse Jacobsen and is based in Denmark. Isle Jacobsen ventured in many things before she decided to start designing shoes. It was not until after she studied political science and national economy in college and opened a restaurant that she came across the idea. It was when a fried was about to call her shoe business quits, that she decided to step in and save it. The next year she published a collection of her own. Since then, she has become a world renowned name in the rain boot industry, and makes rain apparel as well. A company that started fifteen years ago with only 60 staff members, now sells to hundreds of stores in eleven countries. Ilse Jacobson’s designs are not only innovative, but they bring together two elements rarely found together in the shoe industry, practicality and style.
