When Cole found this out, he went ahead and changed his name to "Kenneth Cole Productions Inc." and applied for a permit to film a movie titled "The Birth of a Shoe Company". In two and a half days he completely sold out of stock and gained enough capital to proceed with his company. Almost thirty years later, Kenneth Cole is one of the most successful brands in the world.
