It all started in 1990 when wife and husband team Mandy Cabot and Peter Kjellerup went to Denmark on a horse buying trip. But instead of horses, they found clogs. After trying them on, they decided to share their discovery with their friends, who shared the shoes with their friends, until eventually Dansko the shoe company was formed. Today, Dansko sells more than just clogs; they've included heels, boots, sandals, wedges and flats in their collection as well. Their shoes feature unique materials and construction designed to promote foot, leg and back health. As a company, Dansko works with many different organizations to promote philanthropy, community, and environmental responsibility, even operating out of a LEED Gold certified headquarters in Pennsylvania.
