Bensimon

The Bensimon brand was started by Serge and Yves Bensimon, following the footsteps of their grandfather who, following World War II, started a clothing company that imported second hand clothes from America to France. Much later, Serge and Yves founded Surplus Bensimon, traveling around the world and bringing back uniforms and altering them with a personal touch. From then on it's all history; by 1984 they had produced their first collection of their own, inspired by travel and the military. It quickly became a success and integrated into the French fashion world. Their aesthetic was simple silhouettes, basic colors, and classic timeless style. Today, Bensimon has premiered in the United States with a canvas sneaker collection, reminiscent of classic athletic sneakers but with a high fashion twist. The shoes have quickly become a hit in upscale boutiques, and their popularity keeps on growing. This past year they have been featured in magazines such as Elle, Marie Claire, LA Times, and Teen Vogue. Bensimon shoes have managed to become a leading force in the shoe industry of Paris, and lucky for us, are now taking over America!
